What is the NDIS?

Momentum Podiatry is a provider for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disabilities to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

Additionally the NDIS also connects anyone with disability to services in their community.

This includes connections to doctors, community groups, sporting clubs, support groups, libraries and schools, as well as providing information about what support is provided by each state and territory government.

The NDIS now supports over 500,000 Australians with disability to access the services and support they need.

This includes supporting approximately 80,000 children with developmental delay, ensuring they receive support early so that they achieve the best outcomes throughout their lives.

We love NDIS Podiatry Services
We will work with you to achieve your short and long term goals within your NDIS support plan. For instance foot health can be related to many systemic factors and it is important to have your feet checked and managed.
As an NDIS Podiatrist our services will be tailored to your needs and personal goals to enhance your quality of life. This may be from general foot care to a biomechanical assessment where we will look at the alignment and strength of the foot, ankle, knee and hip. In the meantime we will the assess footwear, offloading techniques if necessary and create a long term plan to suit your lifestyle.

Our Podiatrists are more than happy and will make contact with any other healthcare professionals that may be included in your care (including physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, osteopaths, general practitioners, etc).

If you have any questions about the services we offer, please do not hesitate to get in contact with the clinic on 9587 2855.

How do I claim Podiatry services with the NDIS?

If you have received a Podiatry service at Momentum Podiatry you will be required to provide your NDIS number. It can be claimed by either two ways, but both are incredibly easy:

  1. Self managed – you are reimbursed for your payment
  2. Plan managed – we send the invoice to your case manager. We will need their contact number, organisation contact details and your NDIS management plan.

However the best way to ensure your service is covered by the NDIS is to have the conversation with your support coordinator.

If you don’t already have the support service through the NDIS, you can check your personal eligibility online at the NDIS website.
